What is electromagnet?
Electromagnet are magnet that are only magnetic when there is a coil of wire with electricity running through it. It is made by batteries, wire, coil and iron core. Electromagnets can pick up pieces of iron, steel, nickel, and cobalt. The electricity running through the wire is called a current.

How does it work?
An electromagnet is a type of magnet that works by having an electric current pass through a series wires.
The metal base, which is a nail, is wrapped into the wire that is connected to the power source like battery. The magnet can be turn on and off by connecting or disconnecting the wire into the battery

How do you make a simple electromagnet?
The material are a nail, battery, house  battery and some paper clip.
1. First is take a nail and coil it with wire.
2. Second put the battery into the house battery and tie it to the wire.
 3. Third try it by grabbing the nail and touch the paper clip and see if the paper clip is sticking to the nail.

What are the use of them in our daily life?
Electromagnets is usually for moving things and to store information.
Example things that uses electromagnet:

-Transportation
Some transportation like trains needs electromagnets to elevate the train cars to move faster.

-Generators
Generators operate off this the principle to function and create a electrical power for homes.
